Hats, Ties and Teas

I was able to attend a Hat, Tie and Tea brunch event at a local country club a couple weeks ago. I picked my Calvin Klein straw hat and paired it up with my grid strap blouse. Finished it up with a navy full circle skirt and black accessories. This is very appropriate for a mid day brunch, so try it!

Pink Strydes Fasion Show 2014

I am on the board of a grass roots non-profit organization that is designed to help women battling breast cancer with medication and treatment copays, assist with daily living activities, and personal care assistance. We put on an annual fashion show every October to celebrate breast cancer survivors. I was on board to style the TJMaxx fashion line. I was able to style 37 pieces and used military inspired looks for the survivors and a strong black and white menswear inspired outfits for the more seasonal models. Here are some pictures from backstage of our 3rd annual fashion show this year and a video that a local newspot “Around Wellington” who did a piece on the organization. Styled by Pascale was also covered in this piece.

Fashion Week West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA—October 10, 2014. Preparations are underway for      Fashion Week West Palm Beach. November 11th-16th, 2014 will mark the first installment of this fashion experience. The show will be held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in the heart of West Palm Beach where locals and tourists alike will have the opportunity to partake in this unique display of fashion.

FWWPB showcases local, national and international designers, such as Andre Soriano from Bravo TV’s ‘Styled to Rock’ produced by Rihanna, by providing a progressive environment for them to promote their work. Through this, we also create opportunities for models, stylists, makeup and hair artists, and photographers to collaborate with them. The show is already generating a considerable amount of attention in the South Florida community.

In an effort to showcase the talents of the fashion community, Founder and Director of FWWPB, Steven Smith, created this event that he says will “foster unity and support for the arts within the community.” Apart from being entertaining, Fashion Week West Palm Beach will also be a positive event for it’s participants: creating a buzz for the emerging fashion industry. Travelers to West Palm Beach will have one more activity they can add to their “To Do” lists.

Pleated Skirt Too!

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Palm Beach Urban League’s Youth Empowerment Luncheon today on behalf of Pink Strydes. Pink Strydes, is a non-profit organization that I am on the board of that directly helps women battling breast cancer. The luncheon was hosted by MSNBC’s Tamron Hall and they primarily help empower young people by assisting them with their education and scholarships. I was able to mingle with many influential people of the community. I decided on my recent purchase the classic pleated navy skirt and an ivory blouse that I have had for years. I got many compliments on this outfit today, so thought I’d share with my readers… Ciao!
