4th Annual Pink Strydes Fashion Show

I am the Creative Director of this awesome fashion show that raises money for women battling breast cancer. We just completed the 4th annual fashion show held at the Palm Beach Convention Center and it was a HUGE success!!! The show is hosted by Comedian and Actress Cocoa Brown. Breast cancer survivors ripped the runway and it was a wonderful night of fashion, comedy and celebration of life.

Grammys 2015 Fashion

This past Sunday was Music’s biggest night and where the fashion can be outrageously extreme. This year was no different. It was very hard for me to come up with my 5 best dressed this year. However, here are my picks for best and worst dressed of the musical stars. Starting with the worst dressed of the night…

Pharrell’s wife was the absolute worst of the night!!! It’s not only inappropriate, but ill-fitting. And she didn’t bother putting on any make-up. Meanwhile, Pharrell looks like he got dressed in the juniors’ department. Smh

PharellNext up is Kim K.! This dress is just entirely too big on her. It looks nothing like what came down Jean Paul Gaultier’s Coutoure 2015 runway. The shoulders are too big and droopy, arms are too long and not enough cinching . It’s a bling out potato sack!

Rhianna, oh Rhi Rhi… All I can think of are Flamingos and kinky twist weave (LOL)… NO words!!!

Madonna just doesn’t have the touch anymore. She is waaayyyy too old for this. It’s just no longer cool. You’re 50!

Last but certainly not least is Beyonce. This looks like a fancy moumou.

The Classy Solange Knowles

I have always loved her style but this weekend, she stepped it up a little and managed to impress me even more. Twenty-eight year old Solange Knowles married her long time 51 years old Video Producer boyfriend, Alan Furgerson this weekend in New Orleans. Wedding dress was made by Humberto Leon for Kenzo and the stunning ivory jumpsuit that she arrived to the ceremony in was by Stephane Rolland. She looked gorgeous! 10 Image by Rog Walker Image by Rog Walker91 2 3 4 5 6 7 8Image by Rog Walker

Farewell to Oscar de la Renta

A huge loss in the fashion world on October 20, 2014.

Oscar de la Renta, the doyen of American fashion, whose career began in the 1950s in Franco’s Spain and sprawled across the better living rooms of Paris and New York, and who was the last survivor of that generation of bold, all-seeing taste makers, died on Monday at his home in Kent, Conn. He was 82.

His death was confirmed by his wife, Annette de la Renta. The cause was complications of cancer.

Though ill with cancer intermittently for close to eight years, Mr. de la Renta was resilient. During that period his business grew by 50 percent, to $150 million in sales, as his name became linked to celebrity events like the Oscars. Amy Adams, Sarah Jessica Parker and Penélope Cruz were among the actresses who wore his dresses.

Recently his biggest coup was to make the ivory tulle gown that Amal Alamuddin wore to wed George Clooney in Venice.
